Alex is a sophomore political science major at Hunter and an opinion columnist for the Envoy. Alex is primarily interested in New York politics and has been involved in political organizing for the last several years. He recently served as campaign manager for Marcela Mitaynes, who was elected to the New York State Assembly. He is also a co-founder of the Young Democratic Socialists chapter on campus and a former Senator in the USG. Alex is a lifelong resident of South Brooklyn and enjoys studying American history, playing chess, and practicing martial arts in his spare time.
